The Feel Good Idea Of The Day: Commit a Random Act of Kindness
Random Acts of Kindness are wonderful. It feels pretty amazing to be on the giving end--and the receiving end. I remember about ten years ago a friend of mine paid me a Random Act of Kindness. It was early morning and I was showering and getting ready for the day; when I came out from the bathroom and entered my bedroom, I saw the most beautiful bunch of dried lavender and a handwritten note from my friend wishing me a beautiful day. This memory has stuck with me, because I was truly touched by my friends kindness-- to do something so thoughtful for me, just "out of the blue."
Recently, Cherie Paschal, a Health Coach over at www.newvitalityhealthcoaching.com told a story on her blog of how while she was having a meal at a restaurant, she decided to Commit a Random Act of Kindness by paying for another family's meal. She called it "Paying it Forward." She felt a deep sense of satisfaction by doing this simple act of kindness. Call it what you will--"Random Act of Kindness" or "Paying it Forward," it simply Feels Good to do something nice for others.
